The words to the song that's playing
/lyrics in Discord and Orpheus shows you the lyrics for the song in your voice channel. Open the dashboard and they scroll along with the music. Lyrics are free in every server.In Discord
One command, and the words are there
/lyrics has no options. It looks up the song Orpheus is playing and replies with its words, with the title linked to where the track plays from.
Lyrics come from Spotify's lyrics service.
Only you see them
The reply to /lyrics is a message only you can see, so a full song's words don't fill the channel for everyone else.You need to be listening
Run it while you're in the voice channel with Orpheus. It shows the words for the song playing now.Long songs get cut
A Discord message has a length limit, so Orpheus shortens very long lyrics to fit in one.Some songs have none
Instrumentals, live sets and less well-known tracks often have no lyrics. Orpheus tells you, and nothing is wrong with the track.
On the dashboard
Lyrics that follow the song
Sign in to the dashboard with Discord and open your server's player. The Lyrics tab shows the words for what's playing.
When the lyrics have timings, the tab highlights the line being sung and scrolls along. Untick Follow along to read ahead at your own pace.
Everyone in the server who signs in gets the tab, and it works whether or not you're in the voice channel.

The price
Lyrics cost nothing here
Orpheus has no paid plan, so lyrics work in every server you add it to. Some music bots charge for them: Uzox's premium page lists lyrics search and display as part of Pro.

Add Orpheus to your server
It asks for seven permissions, and Administrator isn't one of them. You can remove it from your server at any time.
